Mitra Hasan

Lead Guide, Meadow Infant Community

Mitra joined All Roads Learning Community in August 2007. Mitra came to us after working in the infant room at Vermont Hills Family Life Center for nine years. A Portland native, Mitra holds a B.A. in Sociology from Portland State University and has attended an A.M.S. Infant & Toddler Teacher Education Program. Mitra has received a certificate of completion of the RIE Foundations course, a sixty-hour course on infant development and guidance based on the work of Hungarian pediatrician Emi Pickler, and Magda Gerber, who brought Emi Pickler’s work to America. Mitra brings an authentic love and understanding of the youngest child to the classroom. Mitra is an artist and photographer and shares her love of art with the children. Mitra enjoys listening to music with her husband, Elijah. Mitra likes to sew and delights in giving old clothes new purpose. She wears many of her own creations!
