Toddler Assistant, Mountain Side Toddler Community
Jess joined the pdxMC team in January of 2024. Jess hails from a small town outside of Vancouver, WA just north of Portland. Jess gained a love of teaching and working with kids through sports growing up. During high school, Jess started working for Parks and Recreation at a community center. There Jess worked with kids in the summer camps and after school programs and coached and refereed youth soccer.
Since graduating from high school in 2020 Jess has worked in other areas not related to childcare, but at the end of 2022 felt unfulfilled in their work. She started working for the Boy’s and Girl’s Club in January of 2023. After about a year there Jess’ passion for working with youth and being part of a community was reignited. Jess says, “Now at the beginning of 2024 I am ready to make working with kids a full-time career and I am excited to learn as much as I can”.
