Primary Assistant, Garden Side Casa
Anna (or “Anna Banana” as the kids call her) has been working with children in different settings throughout her life. Anna grew up helping her mother with her in-home childcare from an early age and volunteered at after-school programs and summer camps in her middle school/ high school years. Before going to university, Anna spent 2 years working as a literacy tutor with k-3rd grade students in northern Washington. She then went on to get her bachelor’s degree in Pre-Speech Pathology and spoken Japanese at the University of Oregon. Anna’s first introduction to Montessori was through her mother as her mother went through teacher training and established her own school. Anna fell in love with the Montessori method and sought to learn more, leading her to take her position here with us at pdxMC in the summer of 2018.
