Lead Primary Guide, Forest Side Casa
As a Montessori preschool child herself, Megan always valued what the experience meant to her success in learning. After spending most of her adult life serving her community through food service, her love of children and a respect of the Montessori method led her to reevaluate her direction. Megan graduated from Montessori Institute Northwest in June of 2012 and was fortunate to become a part of the Cedar Montessori School community in her student teaching in the fall of 2011. She worked for six months as a substitute in a variety of Montessori communities and brings a wealth of experience from both this and helping to raise her twin niece and nephew. Megan is currently finishing her bachelors in Human Studies through Marylhurst Universtiy and focusing on the growing community of Portland Montessori Collaborative. Outside of her work at the school, Megan is busy spending time outdoors, being creative in every way possible and spending time with her family.
